Afghan asylum seeker arrested on charges of sexually abusing 11-year-old girl at German school

An Afghan refugee was arrested on charges of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl at knifepoint at the Hans Zolliger School in Koblenz, Germany. The incident occurred on April 28 in the school’s bathroom.

The girl was attacked by the suspect and his accomplice while leaving the classroom to use the restroom. The attacker pulled down her pants and threatened her with a knife.

After a few days, the girl told her family about the incident and an immediate complaint was filed; the main suspect has been in temporary custody since May 5, and investigations are ongoing to arrest his accomplice.

The incident has raised serious concerns among German parents, and the suspect is also facing charges of sexually abusing another girl.
