Mullah Mohammad Issa Sani, Minister of Public Works, met with Seyyed Abdullah Arjaei, Deputy Minister of Planning and Resources of the Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, in Kabul and discussed expanding infrastructure cooperation between the two countries.
During this meeting, the second section of the 53-kilometer-long Abu Nasr Farahi Mile 78 road was discussed. The Iranian delegation assured that the construction work on this section will be completed in the near future and that the first section of this road, which is 64 kilometers long, will also be repaired.
The two sides also discussed the development of railway lines, increasing transportation, and the construction of the second Milk Bridge; technical teams from both sides are working on issues related to this bridge, and after the signing of the memorandum of understanding, the practical work of its construction will begin.
The Iranian delegation has said that companies from this country are interested in investing in Afghan infrastructure projects. The Ministry of Public Works has also announced that Iranian investors can invest in Afghan infrastructure projects in accordance with the policies of the Islamic Emirate.
