Several protest rallies were held in New York as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the United Nations General Assembly, and city police arrested more than 100 protesters.
Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered near the UN headquarters to protest Netanyahu’s presence and Israel’s policies in the Gaza war, demanding accountability for the war and an end to US military support for the Israeli regime.
During these rallies, protesters also set fire to an effigy attributed to Benjamin Netanyahu.
