Providing nearly 2 billion afghanis in Islamic financing to farmers and livestock farmers last year
Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy government spokesman, announced that in the past year, nearly 2 Billions of Afghanis of Islamic financing have been provided through Murabaha and Mudarabah services by the Agricultural Development Fund to farmers, livestock farmers, and the private sector.
This funding is aimed at growing the agriculture and livestock sector in the country.
The deputy spokesman added that last year, 2,503 demonstration plots of wheat, rice, and corn were created in 34 provinces of the country.
He emphasized that in the current solar year, 21,400 tons of wheat worth 500 million afghanis have been purchased from Balkh, Herat, Takhar, Kunduz, and Baghlan provinces and stored in silos.
These measures have been taken to strengthen food self-sufficiency and develop the country’s agricultural sector.
