Hamas’s Smart Management of the Gaza Battle: From Military Resistance to Political Diplomacy

Dr. Seyed Ruhollah Hosseini, Iran’s cultural advisor in Afghanistan, has examined the developments in the Gaza war and the new approach of the Hamas movement in an analytical article.

According to him, the Gaza war is more than a military conflict, it is a scene of confrontation between the discourse of Islamic resistance and Western hegemony.

Hamas has adopted a wise and patient approach, moving from purely military resistance to political diplomacy, and has demonstrated its political maturity by conditionally accepting the ceasefire plan.

Hosseini emphasizes that by rejecting the Western-imposed plans and amending key clauses of the ceasefire proposal, Hamas has not only maintained its legitimacy but also taken a step towards unifying Palestinian groups by handing over the political management of Gaza to the national consensus.

This approach has neutralized American and Israeli propaganda portraying Hamas as the cause of the crisis and presented a rational and popular image of this movement.

He adds that Hamas, by taking advantage of the multipolar global environment, has attracted the support of some non-Western powers and has become a political actor with high bargaining power
