Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting in Atlanta that if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to meet with Vladimir Putin, he can travel to Moscow and Russia will guarantee his security.
Lavrov also confirmed that talks between Russia and Ukraine will be held in Abu Dhabi; but, according to him, it is not yet clear what plan the Ukrainian side will enter these talks with.
Referring to the G20 meeting, the Russian Foreign Minister said that Moscow welcomes the US approach to depoliticizing the talks and focusing on economic issues, energy, food security, and supply chains.
