Qassam Brigades releases video of Israeli prisoner Alon Ohl, 700 days in captivity due to Netanyahu’s stubbornness
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released a video on Sunday (September 23, 2025) of Israeli prisoner Alon Ohl in which he says: “I have been a prisoner in Gaza City for more than 700 days because of Netanyahu’s stubbornness.”
In this clip, Ohl is watching Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech, where he claims that “we are trying to return all the prisoners in innovative ways.”
Ohl asks mockingly, “What is this? Does anyone still believe Netanyahu?”
He also tells US envoy Steve Witkoff: “Don’t let Netanyahu kill us. Qassam has emphasized that the prisoners have become a burden on Netanyahu’s cabinet and he wants to get rid of them.”
Ohl called on Israeli settlers to continue their protests and called on the US government to stop supporting Netanyahu’s plans to occupy Gaza.
The video is being released as widespread protests against Netanyahu continue in Tel Aviv and occupied Jerusalem.
