Russia have requested the dispatch of medical professors to train Afghan students
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Ovcharuk has announced that Afghanistan has requested Moscow to send medical professors to the country to train Afghan students.
According to the Tass news agency, Ovechuk said on the sidelines of the “Russia-Islamic World” summit in Kazan that Afghan officials have shown great interest in Russian medical education.
He added that the talks between the two sides focused on the export of agricultural fuels, investment, and trade expansion, and that the volume of trade between Afghanistan and Russia has increased significantly in recent months.
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister has said that bilateral trade has now reached about $326 million, according to Russian statistics, while Afghanistan estimates this figure at nearly.
He also stated that Afghanistan is interested in importing Russian cars and agricultural products, and the two sides have also held talks on sending Afghan workers to Russia.
Afghan Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi has said that the only obstacle to sending Afghan workers to Russia is the language issue, and efforts are ongoing to resolve it.
