The US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed in a statement that US forces had carried out a “limited and precise strike” against Iranian forces who, according to the organization, were laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM has also held Iran responsible for creating a “threat in the Strait of Hormuz.”
Meanwhile, on Sunday evening, it was reported that American forces used drones to attack Lark Island in Iran’s Hormozgan province. According to published reports, at least two people were killed in the attack.
