Ukrainian officials say at least 37 people have been killed and dozens wounded in a nighttime Russian drone strike on an ammunition depot in the Mila settlement on the western outskirts of Kiev and subsequent explosions.
The governor of the Kiev region, Timur Tkachenko, said about 50 residential buildings were damaged and nearly 400 people were evacuated.
Ukrainian prosecutors have launched an investigation into possible criminal negligence in storing explosives at the warehouse. Volodymyr Zelensky has also called storing ammunition near residential areas against regulations.
The Ukrainian Air Force has claimed that Russia fired two missiles and 267 drones into Ukraine from late Friday to early Saturday.
On the other hand, Russian officials have said that four people were killed and several others were injured in Ukrainian drone attacks in Belgorod and Sevastopol.
