In a message on the occasion of Unity Week, Iranian Leader Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei emphasized the unity of Islamic countries and said that Muslims must be united against global infidelity.
Referring to developments in the region, he called on Islamic countries, especially those in West Asia and the Persian Gulf, to recognize their real enemy and adopt a common stance against it.
The Iranian leader called the United States and the Israeli regime the main opponents of unity among Islamic countries and, referring to the situation in Palestine, asked: “If Islamic countries were united, would the Palestinian people face this situation?”
He has also warned that highlighting religious, ethnic, political, economic, and geographical differences among Muslims could lead to the weakening of Islamic countries and the increase in the influence of foreign powers.
Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei has proposed three axes to strengthen the Islamic world: unity and avoidance of conflict, mutual defense, and expansion of cooperation in the economic, security, and scientific fields, and the advancement of a process that, according to him, can pave the way for the formation of a “new Islamic civilization.”
