Negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping began at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Putin said during the meeting that cooperation between Russia and China has maintained good dynamics despite adverse external factors, and the volume of trade between the two countries has increased more than 30 times in the past 25 years.
Xi Jinping, addressing Putin as a “dear friend,” emphasized that Moscow and Beijing are developing their bilateral relations based on mutual respect and common interests.
Earlier, media reported that Vladimir Putin had arrived in Beijing for an official visit and was welcomed by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
