Explosion in Lahore; India-Pakistan tensions entered a new phase
News sources reported that in the midst of tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad, the sound of several explosions was heard today, Thursday, 18th of Thor, in the city of Lahore near the Walton Airport of Pakistan.
According to this report, an Indian drone was also shot down near the airport.
Meanwhile, Reuters news agency quoted Geo TV as reporting that a day after Indian airstrikes on several points in Pakistan, which raised concerns about the escalation of military conflict between the two neighbors armed with nuclear weapons, an explosion was heard in the city of Lahore in eastern Pakistan.
According to reports, people ran to the roads after hearing explosions and saw a cloud of black smoke.
In this report, it is claimed that this drone, which was 1.5 to 1.8 meters long, was being directed from the other side of the border to spy on sensitive places.
The Pakistan Airports Authority also announced that all Pakistani airports are “fully operational” and the country’s airspace is open and completely safe for civil aviation.
