The British Maritime Trade Operations Organization has announced that an oil tanker was targeted by an unidentified projectile as it entered the waters of the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the organization, two of the tanker’s crew members were superficially injured in the incident, and the vessel is moving under its own propulsion towards the destination port.
The potential extent of environmental damage from this incident has not yet been determined, and other vessels near the site have been asked to proceed with caution and report any incidents.
