British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has announced that London will provide aerial refueling services to Saudi Arabia’s fighter jets for a limited period in response to a request from the kingdom. The move is aimed at strengthening Saudi Arabia’s defense capabilities and contributing to regional stability.
According to Reuters, the UK will deploy a Royal Air Force Voyager aircraft in this plan. This support is initially planned for a few weeks, and the exact duration will be determined later.
According to Branham, the decision was made after a formal request from Riyadh and in consultation with the British Secretary of State for War and Foreign Affairs; he called the aim of this action to support Saudi Arabia and help maintain vital trade and energy routes.
This decision was made after the collapse of the Yemeni siege and the intensification of attacks by the country’s armed forces against Saudi Arabia.
