Pakistani expert :Islamabad’s current policy is distancing Afghans from Pakistan
Abdullah Khan, head of Pakistan’s Institute for Conflict and Security Studies, has called for a national dialogue on Islamabad’s policy towards Afghanistan.
He said that Pakistan’s current approach, instead of weakening the Islamic Emirate, is alienating ordinary Afghans from Pakistan.
Khan criticized the return of Afghans, especially women studying and working in Pakistan, and stressed that Islamabad’s differences with the Islamic Emirate should not lead to actions that would pit the Afghan people against Pakistan.
He also called Pakistan’s harsh policy towards Afghanistan harmful to the country’s interests and security and called for a policy based on Pakistan’s national interests and security.
