About five million pilgrims participated in the Ashura ceremony of Imam Hussein (AS) in Karbala
Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi, the governor of Karbala, announced that about five million pilgrims attended the Ashura pilgrimage ceremony of Imam Hussein (AS) in this holy city.
Al-Khattabi stated in a press conference that all programs related to the Ashura ceremony were held successfully and without problems, thanks to the extensive efforts of the security forces and service departments.
The Governor of Karbala also appreciated the cooperation and efforts of the security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces in providing security and providing services to pilgrims.
He described the role of the people of Karbala and the Husseini processions in the success and grand holding of the Ashura pilgrimage ceremony as very important and prominent.
