Amir Khan Mottaqi meets with Russian representative, emphasizes expansion of cooperation
Maulvi Amir Khan, Mottaki, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Zamir Kabulov, Special Representative of the President of Russia.
In this meeting, the two sides discussed the development of political relations and economic cooperation and emphasized the expansion of bilateral interactions between Afghanistan and Russia.
Welcoming the growing trend of relations, the Foreign Minister emphasized strengthening economic cooperation, activating the Joint Economic Commission, and establishing a regular framework for political consultations.
In another part of the meeting, the two sides emphasized the importance of regional stability and security and discussed strengthening relations with neighboring countries and the need for joint cooperation for constructive interaction.
Zamir Kabulov also praised the positive trend in relations and announced that Russia is ready to expand economic cooperation with Afghanistan, especially in the energy trade and transit sectors, and to develop the country through joint and multilateral projects.
