The Iranian Foreign Ministry has announced that the bulk of the text of the understanding between the parties has been finalized and the text of the agreement is almost ready, but no final agreement has been reached so far.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei has emphasized that some narratives put forward by the United States are aimed at instilling the impression that the Islamic Republic of Iran has retreated from its positions under pressure and threats, while Tehran will not back down from its red lines.
He said that since the beginning of the negotiations, the situation has been clear for Iran, and while the bulk of the text had been prepared, the American side has changed its positions many times.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the mediators are still actively consulting, and Pakistan and Qatar are playing an important role in the mediation process and bringing perspectives closer.
The ministry also confirmed that during the Qatari delegation’s visit to Tehran, some details and clauses of the understanding were reviewed and discussed.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman has clarified that the issues raised about the agreement are still speculative and that nothing has been officially finalized.
Baghaei also described the situation in the Strait of Hormuz as unsafe due to US actions and said that safe passage of ships is facing challenges and that Iran will announce the final result whenever it reaches the conclusion that the text of the understanding meets the interests of the Iranian nation.
