The Kremlin has announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump discussed ways to resolve the Ukraine war, the situation in Iran, and various aspects of bilateral relations in a telephone conversation.
According to the report, Putin emphasized Russia’s readiness to supply oil and petroleum products to the US and world markets, saying that these supplies could have a positive impact on the global economy.
The Kremlin added that the two leaders agreed to continue direct contacts and cooperation between relevant institutions.
Trump also described the talks as very successful and announced Russia’s readiness to supply large quantities of diesel fuel to the US and global markets.
According to Trump’s statements, Russia is ready to supply hundreds of thousands of tons of diesel fuel to the market in various stages, however, the figures provided in the report regarding the amount of these shipments are not consistent.
The report also states that the US Treasury Department is set to issue a temporary permit to supply Russian diesel fuel to the global market.
