100 Palestinian children martyred in Gaza after ceasefire
UNICEF spokesman James Elder announced that despite the ceasefire agreement, children in the Gaza Strip are still losing their lives due to continued Israeli attacks and harsh winter conditions.
He described the situation in Gaza as “sad” and said that 100 Palestinian children have been martyred since the ceasefire began; in other words, an average of one child has died in the region every day.
Referring to the catastrophic humanitarian conditions, Elder added that strong winds blow like hurricanes, tents are thrown here and there, it rains heavily and children get completely wet. There is no heating available. Many families have been in this situation for two and a half years, suffering from severe malnutrition and their immune systems are severely weakened.
At the same time, news sources reported that three people were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on a car in the city of Al-Zahra (center) in the Gaza Strip, two of whom were journalists.
