Renewed Israeli airstrikes on Homs and Golani’s complaint to the Security Council

Local sources in Syria reported that Israeli warplanes once again targeted the Homs province in the center of the country on Tuesday morning September 9.

According to published information, these attacks targeted weapons and ammunition depots belonging to the Syrian army in the Shinshar area in southern Homs, causing severe explosions.

These attacks were carried out while the Israeli regime has sharply increased its attacks on Syrian infrastructure and military bases after the fall of the Bashar Assad government in December 2024.

At the same time, the Foreign Ministry of the government controlled by Ahmed Joulani, in a statement, called on the United Nations Security Council to take a decisive stance and end the repeated attacks by the Israeli regime on Syrian territory.

The ministry considered the recent attacks on Homs and Latakia a clear violation of Syria’s national sovereignty and a threat to the country’s security and stability, and called it contrary to international law and the UN Charter.
