Hazam al-Assad, a senior member of the political bureau of the Yemeni Ansarullah movement, has warned that if Saudi Arabia does not end its siege of the Yemeni people, the Yemeni armed forces’ operations will enter a more aggressive phase in the future.
In an interview with Al-Mayadeen, Assad said that the ball is now in Saudi Arabia’s court, and Riyadh must lift the siege on the Yemeni people; otherwise, there is a possibility of an escalation of operations in the future.
He also announced the advance of the Yemeni armed forces and their control over a number of Saudi military bases on the western coast of Yemen, and said that the Yemeni armed forces have the ability to expand their control and confront any challenge to the country’s sovereignty.
This Ansar Allah official also reported the capture of a large number of Saudi-affiliated individuals of various nationalities during the West Bank operation.
Meanwhile, Al-Mayadeen correspondent in Yemen reported that the Yemeni armed forces have taken control of important areas and bases on the West Coast, including Camp Khalid, Camp Jabal Al-Nar, and the headquarters of the military forces on the West Coast.
According to this report, the Yemeni armed forces have also taken control of the areas of Al-Khokha and Hays in the south of the coastal province of Al-Hodeidah and the Al-Waziyyah area in Taiz. The total area of Al-Khokha and Hays is said to be more than 1,050 square kilometers.
In response to these developments, Saudi Arabia has carried out airstrikes against a number of Yemeni provinces, including Marib, Al-Jawf, Taiz, and Al-Hodeidah, to support its forces.
