Distribution of international plates for passenger and cargo vehicles begins in Herat

The media office of the Herat provincial government announced that the process of distributing international plates for buses, taxis, and cargo trucks traveling on the Afghanistan-Iran route has officially begun.

According to the office’s press release, this program was initially implemented in Herat province and will soon be expanded to other provinces of the country.

In Herat province, 600 buses and taxis and nearly 7,000 freight vehicles are eligible to receive these plates. Officials have emphasized that the distribution process will be carried out in a short time and with simple, uncomplicated steps.

This measure is aimed at facilitating the movement of commercial and passenger vehicles between the two neighboring countries, reducing customs problems, and improving cross-border transport.
