Qatar’s Minister of International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Masand has spoken about her country’s humanitarian activities in Afghanistan at a meeting on humanitarian diplomacy and water security in Doha.
Qatar is working in crisis-hit countries including Afghanistan, Gaza, Sudan, Lebanon, Somalia and Syria through humanitarian aid, diplomacy, mediation, reconstruction financing and support for displaced civilians, the Qatari Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Qatari official also emphasized the importance of protecting water resources and vital infrastructure during wars and strengthening international cooperation to assist the victims.
