According to Indian sources, a powerful explosion occurred at a pharmaceutical factory in the Indian state of Telangana, resulting in at least 36 deaths.
Firefighters who were dispatched to the scene pulled the bodies of 34 workers from the rubble.
Two other workers also died in the hospital due to severe burns.
Officials said more than 30 others were injured in the incident and taken to hospitals for treatment.
