Afghan Ministry of Agriculture delegation visits Tehran to expand irrigation and agriculture cooperation
Mawlavi Baz Mohammad Faizan, Deputy Minister of Irrigation and Natural Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, traveled to Tehran with an official delegation at the invitation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Afghan delegation participated in the specialized exhibition in Tehran, which focused on agricultural machinery, modern irrigation systems, smart agriculture, and sustainable water resources management, and visited its various sections accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Water and Soil of the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture.
During this visit, advanced and smart drip irrigation systems were introduced, which minimize water and human consumption by using mobile applications and precise sensors and are adaptable to Afghan conditions.
The delegation members also participated in bilateral business (B2B) meetings with Iranian companies and institutions to discuss areas of cooperation, transfer of experience, and attraction of investment in the agricultural sector.
