US official: We have reached a strong agreement with Iran
A senior US government official claimed in an interview with Fox News that Washington has reached a very good and strong agreement with Iran.
According to this American official, based on the terms of this agreement, Iran will open the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping without charging any fees or charges.
This claim comes at a time when Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi emphasized in an interview yesterday evening that “control of the Strait of Hormuz will no longer be like it was before the war, and this strategic waterway will be under the control of Iran and Oman.” He also said that passage through the Strait of Hormuz will no longer be free.
This senior American official further stated that the lifting of restrictions and blockades imposed by the United States will also take place simultaneously with the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
According to this official, in the next stage, the parties will focus on implementing mine-clearing operations and clearing the Strait of Hormuz of naval mines.
