Sources told Al-Arabiya network that a high-ranking Ukrainian delegation will arrive in Damascus today, Monday, 30 December, to meet with “Ahmed al-Shara” (Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, the leader of Tahrir al-Sham and the commander-in-chief of the new Syrian administration).
Syrian opposition armed groups led by al-Julani took control of Damascus earlier, ending the long-term rule of Bashar al-Assad.
They have formed a transitional government to run the transitional phase until elections are held.
During the past days, delegations from different countries have met with Jolani.
