Macron refused to resign from the presidency of France

French President Emmanuel Macron announced after the collapse of the country’s government that he would appoint a new prime minister in the coming days and rejected his resignation.

He reacted to the actions of far-right and left-wing parties and legislators in the parliament to vote no confidence in the French Prime Minister Michel Barnier’s government and accused them of forming a front against the republic to overthrow the government.
