Jean-Luc Mélenchon, leader of the “France Insurrection” party, strongly criticized the Zionist regime and the positions of Western countries, condemning the silence in the face of what he called “genocide in Gaza.”
He also criticized the Israeli regime’s military operations in Lebanon and Syria, saying that international laws are being blatantly ignored.
Referring to recent statements by Itamar Ben-Guer, the Israeli Interior Minister, about the killing of dozens of Palestinians every night, Mélenchon described the silence in the face of such positions as “disgusting.” Ben-Guer’s statements have also been met with widespread international reactions in recent days.
The French politician also criticized Emmanuel Macron and Europe for refraining from applying serious pressure and sanctions against the Zionist regime, and considered this approach to be a precursor to the West’s political complicity in crimes against the Palestinians.
