China sanctions six US entities in response to US sanctions
The Chinese government has added six American entities to its sanctions list in response to recent US sanctions against Chinese companies for using “forced labor” in the Xinjiang region.
China’s Ministry of Commerce announced that Applied
DNA Sciences, Stratum Reservoir, Altana Technologies, Responsible Business Human, and the Alliance Verite Group Rights in China organization are included in these restrictions.
It called this US action a violation of China’s sovereignty and development interests and said that cooperation and business transactions with these American entities would be prohibited.
This reaction came after Washington banned imports of products from 43 Chinese companies over allegations of human rights violations against Uyghurs and other minorities.
