Iran: missile defense capability and drones are non-negotiable
Iran’s Ministry of National Defense has announced that the country’s missile defense capabilities and unmanned aerial vehicles are considered a “red line” of Iranian national security and will not be discussed or negotiated at any stage of negotiations with the United States.
Iranian Defense Minister Majid Ibn al-Reza has emphasized: “Iran’s ‘power’, missile defense, and unmanned aerial vehicles are a red line for our national security and are non-negotiable, neither now nor in the future.”
He also stated that Iran’s programs to develop its rocket and drone capabilities will continue and this process will not stop.
These statements come at a time when Iran’s military programs have always been one of the areas of disagreement between Tehran and Western countries, especially the United States.
According to reports, Iran has used a large number of drones during recent conflicts.
Experts believe that the low cost of producing these equipment allows for their mass production, and their widespread use could challenge air defense systems, while intercepting these targets entails significant costs.
