The first HURJET training jet intended for the Turkish Air Force made its maiden flight on the country’s Victory Day and stayed in the air for 18 minutes.
This aircraft is a supersonic training jet designed to replace the aging T-38 and T-5 aircraft.
The HURJET development program began in 2017, and the jet’s first test flight took place on April 25, 2023.
This flight was carried out after the completion of the preparation stages and is considered an important step in the development and operationalization process of this Turkish training jet.
