Iran on the closure of the Strait of Hormuz reported

Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has announced that the Strait of Hormuz will be closed to vessel traffic in response to what it calls America’s “disloyalty” in implementing the end-of-war agreement, as well as Israel’s continued violation of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon.

The statement stated that the continued Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon, the displacement of civilians, and the failure of Zionist forces to withdraw from the area were among the reasons for this decision.

The Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters emphasized that this action is the first step in response to what has been called the enemy’s violation of its commitments, and that if tensions continue, further measures will be put on the agenda.

The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the world’s most important energy ports, and any disruption to ship traffic through this route could affect global energy markets.
