Imran Khan supporters continue march in Pakistan, PTI calls for rally in Swabi
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that the protest march led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has entered its sixth day and is continuing with the presence of party supporters in Charsadda and Shabqadar.
The party says the march was held to protest what it calls human rights violations such as the continued imprisonment of Imran Khan and his family members and the detention of political prisoners.
According to reports, the march reached Charsadda from Peshawar last night and is scheduled to reach Swabi on October 11; Sohail Afridi has asked PTI supporters to travel from different parts of Pakistan to Swabi by October 14 so that the next plans for the march can be announced.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kennedy has challenged PTI leaders and asked them to cross Swabi if they can.
