Philippines earthquake death toll rises to 32, over 200 injured
The latest figures from the powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake in the southern Philippines show that the death toll from the event has risen to 32 and more than 200 people have been injured.
Local authorities have announced that search and rescue operations are continuing in the affected areas, with rescue teams trying to find people who may be trapped under the rubble.
According to geologists, more than 130 aftershocks have been recorded since the earthquake, some of which have reached a magnitude of 6.7.
The continued aftershocks have raised concerns about increasing damage and making the relief process more difficult.
