The United States has approved a possible sale of precision weapons worth $106 million to South Korea.
The US State Department has announced that this weapons package includes precision guided bombs (JDAM), 708 trailing kits, and 58 bomb guidance sets, along with equipment, technical and logistical support services.
According to this announcement, this agreement still has to go through the review and notification processes in the US Congress.
Washington has said that the deal will help strengthen South Korea’s defense capabilities and increase its military readiness within the framework of bilateral defense cooperation.
