According to reports, the second Termez Dialogue on Central and South Asia Connectivity will be held in Uzbekistan from June 4 to 6, and will discuss important regional issues including connectivity, economic security, climate change, and expanding cooperation with Afghanistan.
Diplomatic Insight magazine and the online publication World News reported that the summit will be held under the slogan “Peace, Connectivity and Resilience: Building a Foundation for Shared Prosperity.”
Representatives of governments, international organizations, and research institutions from Afghanistan, Central Asia, South Asia, Europe, and other regions of the world will attend this meeting.
In addition to official meetings, participants will also visit the Airatom International Trade Center, the Termez Cargo Logistics Center, and a number of historical and cultural sites in Uzbekistan.
The meeting is expected to conclude with the issuance of a joint declaration on strengthening trust, expanding cooperation, and developing sustainable connectivity between Central and South Asia.
It is worth noting that the first round of this meeting was held last year, in which Afghan officials emphasized Afghanistan’s role as the “heart of Asia” and a regional bridge.
