In an interview with Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi emphasized that stopping the war is only possible if Iran is guaranteed not to repeat the attacks and is paid compensation.
He said Iran is ready to form a fact-finding committee with regional countries to investigate the targets attacked and determine that Iran’s attacks were only against American bases and interests in the region.
Araqchi added that the Americans have built a drone similar to Iranian drones called “Lucas” and are using it to attack targets in Arab countries. It is likely that Israel is behind some attacks on civilian targets in Arab countries to destroy their relations with Iran.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that Iran has not yet targeted any civilian or residential areas in the countries of the region, but if Iran’s energy infrastructure is targeted, the infrastructure of American companies in the region will be targeted.
Araqchi described the Revolutionary Leader’s condition as “completely healthy” and said he is fully managing the situation. The internal situation in Iran is stable and there are no gaps in government institutions or the army.
He announced that the Strait of Hormuz is open to everyone except American ships and their allies. Diplomatic relations with Qatar, Oman, and neighboring countries continue, and no specific initiative has been proposed to end the war so far.
Araqchi warned that occupying Kharg Island would be a much bigger mistake than attacking it.
