American sources estimate the cost of a 40-day war with Iran to exceed $1 trillion

Sources and experts in the United States have stated that the true cost of a possible 40-day war with Iran is much higher than official figures and could reach more than a trillion dollars.

According to a report by the “Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed” website, this short-lived war has even surpassed the Vietnam War in terms of cost, a war that cost about $165 billion over 22 years.

Linda Byles, a war budget expert at Harvard University, has said that, taking inflation into account, the cost of this war could be estimated at between $1 and $1.3 trillion.

Experts emphasize that this cost is several times greater than the Vietnam War, and some sources also speak of an understatement of costs by American officials.
