Iran denies meeting with US delegation in Islamabad

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai has rejected the White House’s statements about a possible meeting between Iranian and American delegations in Islamabad.

He has announced that the Iranian delegation will only discuss efforts to end the war with Pakistani officials and that there are no plans to meet with the American delegation.

Baqaei added that Iran’s message will be conveyed to the United States through Pakistan.

Meanwhile, an Iranian delegation headed by Seyyed Abbas Araqchi traveled to Islamabad and met with Ishaq Dar.

Previously, the White House spokesman had claimed that US representatives, including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, would also travel to Islamabad and meet with the Iranian delegation.
