Amir Khan Mottaqi met with the head of the Turkish Embassy in Kabul
Amir Khan Mottaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Sadin Aydın, Chargé d’Affaires of the Turkish Embassy, and discussed regional developments and the recent Kabul-Islamabad negotiations.
During this meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the negotiations held in Urumqi, China, and emphasized the importance of continuing diplomatic interactions.
The Foreign Minister assessed the relations between Afghanistan and Türkiye as positive and called Türkiye’s previous role in mediation valuable.
Regarding the recent negotiations with Pakistan, Muttaqi also said that so far the talks have progressed in a positive direction and expressed hope that minor technical issues will not hinder the progress of this process.
The Turkish Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires has emphasized that improving relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan is of particular importance to Ankara and that his country will continue its efforts in this regard.
