Ebrahim Rezaei, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, has criticized the performance of some mediators in connection with the Iran war and accused them of siding with the United States.
Rezaei wrote on his X-Page that a mediator who consistently takes a stance against Iran, holds the country responsible for the Forty-Day War, and plays a role in freezing Iran’s assets cannot be a real mediator.
He has also said that such intermediaries are involved in what he calls “economic rage operations against the Iranians” and come into play when pressure on the United States increases; Rezaei has described this approach as part of the enemy’s “hybrid war machine.”
Rezaei did not directly mention the name of the country, however, the Iran-US peace talks were hosted by Islamabad in April of this year, and Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir is scheduled to visit Iran today, Tuesday.
