Amir Oren, a journalist and military analyst for Haaretz, wrote in an analysis of Donald Trump’s ceasefire and surrender to Iran that Israel has failed to achieve its war goals against Iran.
This Zionist analyst emphasized that the three main dimensions of the US and Israeli defeat are: the Iranian regime was not overthrown, enriched uranium was not extracted from the depths of the earth, and the Strait of Hormuz was not opened. Therefore, any claim of victory or justification of defeat is merely a story and an excuse.
Oren added that the Iranian regime remained intact, its nuclear program still exists, and Iran’s blockade of international navigation by threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz stunned Trump.
He pointed out that the superiority of Israeli and American air forces did not produce real results because the main objectives of the war were not achieved, and victory or defeat is not measured by the amount of destruction, but by the achievement of objectives.
The military analyst wrote that the only absolute truth for Israel is the serious damage to the domestic front and the depth of that front among the people, which Netanyahu had ignored for years while always eager for war with Iran. Israel’s strategic position in the United States and Europe has also been severely questioned.
Oren concluded by emphasizing that this war began with language and ended with language, and that Trump and Netanyahu’s words after the disastrous defeat have been like empty air coming out of their talkative balloon.
