The US Treasury Department has issued a temporary 30-day exemption for the sale of Iranian oil shipments currently in transit at sea. This decision was made at a time when oil and gas prices in global markets have reached unprecedented levels due to severe tensions between Iran, the US and the Zionist regime.
According to international media reports, this exemption only includes Iranian sanctioned oil that was purchased or left floating on the sea route before the sanctions were tightened; the main goal of this measure is to prevent a severe energy crisis and reduce pressure on the global economy.
Barak Ravid, an Israeli journalist for the Axios website and a source close to the Trump administration’s psychological operations, tweeted at 3:30 AM Jerusalem time, “The US is allowing Iran to receive about $14 billion in oil revenue,” adding that this is a major financial concession to Iran and the first time the US is buying Iranian oil since 1996, while the war with Iran continues.
