Manzoor Pashteen called Pakistani airstrikes on Khost a “blatant crime”

Manzoor Pashteen, leader of the Pashtun Protection Movement (PTM), strongly condemned last night’s Pakistani army airstrikes on parts of Gurbaz district of Khost province, describing it as an “inhuman, un-Islamic act” and “contrary to all international laws.”

In a tweet on his X page, Pashteen wrote that women and children were martyred in these attacks and that Pakistani forces had committed blatant crimes.

He said Pakistani authorities in Islamabad had launched a violent operation against Afghan migrants, beating and arresting dozens of families.

The leader of the Pashtun Protection Movement emphasized that “killing women and children and harassing innocent migrants is not fighting terrorism, but state terrorism itself,” and the main target of these policies are women, children, and the homes of the Pashtun people.

He also claimed that Pakistan was tasked by some Western powers to create unrest in the region and create a crisis along the route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) so as to both receive money from the West and force China to pay for the security of this route.

Pashteen warned that these policies have created division and distrust in Pashtun-populated areas, and the end game will not be as Pakistani generals imagine.

These statements come after the Pakistani army targeted parts of Khost, Paktika, and Kunar provinces with airstrikes last night.

According to initial information, at least ten members of a family, including nine children, were martyred and three others were injured in Gurbaz district of Khost.
