Türkiye: Defense agreement with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is defensive in nature

A Turkish official has announced that the new defense agreement between Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan is purely defensive in nature and does not aim to pose a threat to any country.

According to the official, the agreement focuses on mutual support in defense situations and expanding security cooperation between the three countries, and its commitments only include defending members against possible attacks and do not include offensive actions.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry announced that a joint defense agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey was signed in Mecca in the presence of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
