The draft policy for processing and exporting minerals was approved at a regular meeting of the Economic Commission, chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, held at the Marmara Palace.

This policy aims to create an appropriate framework for mineral processing based on national and international standards, attract domestic and foreign investments, coordinate among relevant institutions, facilitate traders’ access to regional and global markets, and create job opportunities for citizens.

The decisions made, including the approval of this policy, have been sent to the Office of the Leader of the Islamic Emirate for finalization.

At the same meeting, the report of the committee reviewing the laboratory complex plan in major ports was also approved and decisions were made on other issues.

This measure is considered an important step towards developing the mining sector and increasing the country’s exports.
