Khalilzad calls for reduction of tension and bilateral agreement between Kabul and Islamabad
Zalmay Khalilzad, the former US special representative for peace in Afghanistan, emphasized preventing the spread of conflicts and said that Kabul and Islamabad should resolve their differences through reducing tensions and bilateral agreement instead of increasing the war and interfering with India and Russia.
Khalilzad emphasized that the two countries must commit to not allowing either country’s territory to be used by individuals and groups, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and ISIS, to threaten the neighboring country.
He also said in the end that the ball is now in Pakistan’s court.
